The TYPO3 Awards put brilliant TYPO3 projects center stage in front of industry leaders. An illustrious jury of digital specialists selects the finalists, then crowns the winner in a VIP gala dinner at T3CON19. Anyone can take part – agencies, freelancers and hobbyists – and a wide range of categories provide peer recognition for the full breadth of TYPO3 excellence.
The first step of the process is in your hands: nominate your awesome TYPO3 project! After the deadline for nominations, our jury will decide on a shortlist. The big night is Thursday, 17 October on the fringes of T3CON19 in The Hague, Netherlands. We announce the winners of each category at this VIP gala event. The pinnacle of the night is the announcement of the overall Website Of The Year Award.
Last year, we received 46 nominations within 15 categories – check out winners of the 2018 TYPO3 Awards.
TYPO3 is a highly versatile CMS and the categories for the TYPO3 Awards reflect this. You can nominate for one or several categories, as well as for Website Of The Year. Because TYPO3’s users are as diverse as the CMS itself, the awards are open to nominations by agencies, freelancers and hobbyists alike.
This year’s categories are:
- Finance / Logistic
- Enterprise (acting on at least 2 continents)
- Industry (manufacturing goods)
- SMB (< 250 employees, < 50M € turnover)
- Small Website
Our jury is made up of digital industry specialists who have the business, marketing and technical expertise necessary to make an objective judgment of the best websites in each category. They score each website on the following criteria:
- TYPO3 Guidelines/Code quality
- SEO performance
- Supported TYPO3 version
- Modern Techniques/Innovations
Whether you’re working in a digital agency, government, higher education, industry or elsewhere you can submit a TYPO3 website or application within one of the categories laid out above. The submission deadline is Monday, 30 September 2019, 23:59 GMT +2.
There are a few eligibility criteria that you will need to adhere to. The project must:
- Run a supported TYPO3 CMS version
- Be publicly accessible (except intranets)
- Have the owner’s agreement for submission, in written
- Have been launched in 2018 or 2019
To cover costs for the event, we charge a fee of €200+VAT for every submission. For every additional category, we charge €75+VAT. When you make it to the nominees and get shortlisted; the price of every submission includes a complimentary ticket for the award dinner and gala. Whatever the result, you receive our jury’s valuable feedback consisting of a score in every category named above.

On the night of 17th October 2019, all the hard work pays off. Compére Jeffrey A. Macquire will accompany us through an evening of excitement, socialising and fun. The winners will be invited on stage to present their projects and reveal to the world how they did it. We celebrate the finalists and winners by partying into the small hours at the aftershow!
The Awards Gala is the perfect way to meet the TYPO3 Community and extend your business network, and you can incentivise your employees by reserving places at the VIP tables – which are closest to the stage. Bonus: Each table of eight VIPs you reserve is branded with your logo.
Regular tickets for the Awards Gala cost € 149,- +VAT.
