Content management for print and web
Traditional newspapers like The Times, Evening Standard, Boston Globe, and Gulf News have been under pressure from the online for a long time. Long seen as slow and traditional, they have often struggled to make the switch to online. Part of this is due to the great emphasis on control and quality required to deliver a daily newspaper containing 100s of stories made by 60-200 journalists. To ensure all goes smooth a lot of complex requirements have to be handled by the Editorial Content Management Systems. In this talk, I would like to provide an overview of the processes and flows. A lot of these requirements are recently resurfacing due to the need to again scale up the people, control and quality for larger online publications.
